กบว้ากใหญ่ (หมาในน้ำ)

   

    กบในธรรมชาติทั่วไปเเล้วจะร้อง “อ๊บ อ๊บ” เเต่กบที่อุทยานแห่งชาติทะเลบัน จังหวัดสตูล ร้องไม่เหมือนกบทั่วไปกลับร้องคล้ายลูกหมา(ลูกสุนัข) ไปงั้นได้ไง กบที่พุดถึงคือกบ "กบว้ากใหญ่" มาเป็นจุดเด่นของอุทยานฯ ดึงดูดให้นักท่องเที่ยวไปหาดูตัวมัน ในฐานะ “หมาน้ำ” ด้วยน้ำเสียงที่ว่ากันว่า คล้ายกับเสียงร้องของลูกหมา

 “หมาน้ำ” ชนิดนี้ มีขนาดลำตัว 60-95 มิลลิเมตร (ความยาวของลำตัวสัตว์สะเทินน้ำสะเทินบก พวกกบ เขียด ปาด ฯลฯ วัดจากปากถึงก้น) ลำตัวสีเทาอมม่วง มีจุดแต้มสีเทาดำหรือเหลือง ขอบปากมีจุดสีเข้ม ตาสีแดงส้ม ผิวตามตัวด้านบนมีตุ่มกลม ข้างลำตัวมีต่อมใหญ่ นอกจากเสียงมันที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์แล้ว หน้าตาสีสันของมันก็ไม่เหมือนใคร จดจำได้ไม่ยากนัก

         ส่วนปลายนิ้วตีนของมัน แผ่ออกเป็นแผ่นใหญ่ ระหว่างนิ้วตีนหลัง มีแผ่นหนังยึดเต็มความยาวนิ้วตีน--หลายคนอาจสงสัย ว่าจะดูอะไรมันละเอียดจนถึงบาทาของมัน จริงๆ แล้ว นิ้วตีนของสัตว์กลุ่มนี้ มีความน่าสนใจและบอกถึงแหล่งที่อยู่ของมันได้เป็นอย่างดี เช่น ปาด (F. Rhacophoridae) พวกมันมีแผ่นหนังยื่นออกมารอบปลายนิ้ว มองดูคล้ายนิ้วตีนติดแผ่นดิสก์ แท้จริงแล้ว แผ่นหนังที่นิ้วตีนกลมๆ นี้ ช่วยให้พวกมันปีนป่ายตามต้นไม้ได้เป็นอย่างดี เราจึงพบพวกปาดเกาะแปะตามผนังห้องน้ำหรือต้นไม้ได้เหนียวแน่นทีเดียว หรือ กลุ่มกบลายหิน (Amolops sp.) พวกนี้ ก็มีแผ่นกลมที่ปลายนิ้วเช่นเดียวกับกลุ่มปาด แต่ไม่ใช่ว่ามันก็อยู่อาศัยปีนป่ายบนต้นไม้เหมือนกัน แต่เพราะกบลายหินทั้งหลาย อาศัยหากินบริเวณแก่งหินที่น้ำไหลเชียวในบริเวณลำธาร มันก็เลยพัฒนา "แผ่นดิสก์" มาติดที่ปลายนิ้วเช่นเดียวกัน

      นอกจากอุทยานแห่งชาติทะเลบันแล้ว เราสามารถพบกบชนิดนี้ได้ทั่วไป ในภาคใต้ตอนล่าง บริเวณใกล้หนองน้ำ หรือลำธารที่น้ำไหลไม่แรงนัก ตลอดจนสวนยางที่อยู่ใกล้กับพื้นที่ดังกล่าว รวมถึงในป่าพรุหรือแหล่งน้ำนิ่ง เช่น อ่างเก็บน้ำในป่าดิบชื้น เป็นต้น

        แต่การทำลาย "บ้าน" ซึ่งคือป่าพรุหรือป่าดิบชื้นที่พวกมันอาศัยอยู่ การแผ้วถางเปลี่ยนพื้นที่ป่าเป็นพื้นที่เกษตรกรรม ทำให้พื้นที่อาศัยลดลงหรือหายไป แล้วการใช้สารเคมีในการเกษตร ทำให้จำนวนประชากรของกบว้าก และกบหลายชนิดลดลงหรืออาจสูญพันธุ์ในที่สุด

Satun National Museum – Kuden Mansion พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติสตูล (คฤหาสน์กูเด็น)

       Is located on Satun Thani Road, Soi 5, opposite the Satun Provincial Land O"ce. Construction was started in 1898 and completed in 1916 by Phraya Phumnatphakdi or Tunku Baharutdin Bin Tammahong (formerly Kuden Binkumae), the ruler of Satun, during the reign of King Rama V. 

      The mansion was intended to be a royal residence during a royal visit of King Rama V to the South. However, the king did not stay overnight here. The building was later used as an o"cial residence and as the Satun Town Hall. Until World War II in around 1941, the building was occupied by Japanese soldiers as their command unit. It was also used asthe Satun City Hall and other important o"cial places. During 1997 – 2000, the Fine Arts Department renovated the Kuden Mansion into a western two-storey brick building. Curved doors and windows are in the European architectural style of art. Its Thai-styled hip-roof is covered with Spanish terra cotta roof tiles. 

         Window panels consist of wooden shutters. The top of the pediment is adorned with a star-shaped vent in accordance with Islamic architecture. Inside, there are displays of history of Satun town and ways of life of the people of Satun, such as the sea dwellers of Ko Li Pe, pot making, a room of the ruler of Satun’s residence, a room of the Thai Muslim culture depicting arts, culture, traditions, local lifestyles, etc. 

       The museum is open on Wednesdays to Sundays from 09.00 a.m. – 04.00 p.m. It is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and public holidays. Admission fee is 50 Baht. Tel. 0 7472 3140.

        พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติสตูล (คฤหาสน์กูเด็น) ตั้งอยู่ถนนสตูลธานี ซอย 5 ตรงข้ามกับสำนักงานที่ดินจังหวัดสตูล เป็นอาคารก่ออิฐถือปูน 2 ชั้น อาคารเป็นตึกแบบตะวันตก ประตูหน้าต่างรูปโค้งสถาปัตยกรรมยุโรบ หลังคาทรงปั้นหยาแบบไทยและใช้กระเบื้องดินเผารูปกาบกล้วย บานหน้าต่าง สถาปัตยกรรมแบบอิสลาม 

          สร้างเมื่อ พ.ศ.2441 แล้วเสร็จในปี พ.ศ. 2459 โดยพระยาภูมินารถภักดี หรือ ตวนกูบาฮารุดดินบินตำมะหงง (กูเด็น บินกูแม๊ะ) เจ้าเมืองสตูลในสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว คฤหาสถ์แห่งนี้สร้างขึ้นเพื่อเป็นที่ประทับ ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้า เจ้าอยู่หัว แต่ไม่ได้ประทับแรม และเคยเป็นบ้านพักและศาลากลางจังหวัด ในสมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ปัจจุบันเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่รวบรวมโบราณวัตถุ และจัดนิทรรศการให้ความรู้เกี่ยว กับศิลปวัฒนธรรมประเพณีและวิถีชีวิตของชาวสตูลในด้านต่าง ๆ เป็นแผ่นไม้ชิ้นเล็กๆ เป็นเกล็ดแนวนอน ช่องลมหน้าบนตกแต่งรูปดาว เวลาเปิด-ปิด : พิพิธภัณฑ์เปิดทุกวันพุธ-วันอาทิตย์ ปิดวันจันทร์-วันอังคาร และวันหยุดนักขัตฤกษ์ เวลา 09.00-16.00 น

Satun Central Mosque or Mambang Mosque(มัสยิดมำบัง)

Satun Central Mosque or Mambang Mosque is located on the corner of Buri Wanit Road and Satun Thani Road in the heart of town. It is a place for religious services. The mosque is 
in a modern style of architecture. Its white building is decorated with glazed tiles, marble, and glass. The building is divided into two parts. The outer part features a  verandah with a !ight up to a dome-tipped tower. At the top, a view of the town of Satun can be seen. The inner part is shaped as a large hall for praying with an underground chamber.

     มัสยิดมำบัง(มัสยิดกลางจังหวัดสตูล) ตั้งอยู่บริเวณมุมถนนบุรีวานิชและถนนสตูลธานี กลางเมืองสตูล เป็นสถานที่ประกอบพิธีทางศาสนา สร้างขึ้นตั้งแต่สมัยพระยาสมันตรัฐบุรินทร์ (ตนกูมูฮำหมัดอาเก็ม) เป็นเจ้าเมืองสตูล (ประมาณ พ.ศ. 2539) ชื่อมำบังตั้งตามชื่อเมืองสตูลในสมัยนั้นต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2517 ได้จัดสร้างลักษณะรูปทรงมัสยิดเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมสมัยใหม่ ตัวอาคารสีขาวตกแต่งด้วยกระเบื้องเคลือบหินอ่อนและกระจกใส ตัวอาคารแบ่งเป็นสองส่วน ส่วนนอกเป็นระเบียง มีบันไดขึ้นหอคอย ลักษณะเป็นยอดโดม สามารถมองเห็นทิวทัศน์เมืองสตูลได้ ส่วนในเป็นห้องโถงใหญ่ใช้เป็นที่ละหมาด ชั้นล่างมีห้องใต้ดิน พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ ได้เสด็จทรงเปิดเมื่อวันที่ 20 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2525

อุทยานเเห่งชาติทะเลบัน

THALE BAN NATIONAL PARK

 A large fresh water area covering 200 rais, is populated with a species of plant known to the locals as "Bakong" giving a striking natural atmosphere to the place. There is also a pavilion for visitors to relax and admire the beauty of the swamp. It is believed that the name Thale Ban is derived from "Lerd Reban" in Malay, meaning the "subsided lake". According to local legend, from about 300 years ago, the present Thale Ban was the site juxtaposed between two mountains namely Khao Jeen and Khao Moddaeng. It was a fertile farming area for villagers who engaged in cash crops and fruit orchards. Later a strong, continuous quake had hit the area for months and the site caved in and became a large pool of water, which later became Thale Ban Swamp.          

           ทะเลบัน ทะเลบันเป็นบึงน้ำขนาดใหญ่กลางหุบเขา ขนาบด้วยเทือกเขาจีนและเขาวังประ มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 200 ไร่ มีปลาน้ำจืดและหอยชุกชุม น้ำใสสะอาดจนสามารถมองเห็นสาหร่ายและฝูงปลาว่ายไปมา บางครั้งจะมีสมเสร็จลงมากินน้ำเป็นภาพที่น่าประทับใจ รอบบึงมีพันธุ์ไม้ชนิดหนึ่งขึ้นอยู่หนาแน่น ชาวบ้านเรียกว่า "ต้นบากง" ทางอุทยานฯ ได้สร้างศาลาท่าน้ำไว้ให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้นั่งพักผ่อนด้วย

 คำว่า "ทะเลบัน" มาจากคำว่า "เลิด เรอบัน" เป็นภาษามลายูแปลว่า ทะเลยุบหรือทะเลอันเกิดจากการยุบตัวของแผ่นดิน อุทยานแห่งชาติทะเลบันเกิดจากการยุบตัวของพื้นดินระหว่างเขาจีนและเขามดแดง เป็นหนองน้ำขนาดใหญ่มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 63,350 ไร่ พื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่เป็นภูเขาสลับซับซ้อนมีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ค่อนข้างสูง จึงอุดมไปด้วยพืชพรรณป่าไม้ที่ขึ้นอย่างหนาแน่น และรอบๆ บึงจะมีพันธุ์ไม้ชนิดหนึ่งชื่อต้น "บากง" ขึ้นอยู่หนาแน่นแลดูสวยงาม

How to get to Thale Ban Swamp
    Thale Ban National Park is located in Village No.11, Tambon Khuan Satore, Amphoe Khuan Don, approximately 30 kilometers from the town of Satun. It can be reached by following Highway No . 406 ( Satun - Hatyai ) from Amphoe Muang until reaching Kilometer 19, take a right turn onto Highway No. 4184 (Khuan Satore-Wang Prachan) for approximately 20 kilometers. From Haad Yai, visitors can take a public bus (Hat Yai-Satun) or a taxi, which will take about 80 kilometers. Get off at Khuan Satore T - intersection and board a minibus to the Park. 

Facilities 
     Thirteen cottages can accommodate 170 visitors to the park. The rates for the accommodation range from 5 0 0 - 1, 0 0 0 baht/cottage/night. There is a camping site ( campers must bring their own camping gear ), and facilities include lamps for camping, a multi-purpose pavilion, and visitors' service center.
